What Past Participants Say

We asked people from our 2024 cohorts to share their honest thoughts about the experience and whether the investment made sense for them.

Builder Track, Fall 2024

I spent years avoiding investing because I felt overwhelmed by jargon. This program gave me actual skills I use every week. Worth every dollar for the confidence alone.

Fundamentals Track, Winter 2024

Perfect for someone like me who just needed the basics. Six weeks was realistic with my work schedule. I've started investing small amounts and actually understand what I'm doing.

Mentor Track, 2024

The year-long track felt like a big commitment, but having someone to talk through my specific situation made all the difference. My portfolio grew slowly and steadily throughout the year.

Questions People Usually Ask

We get these questions a lot. If yours isn't here, just reach out.

Can I switch tracks if I start with Fundamentals?

Yes. About 40% of people who complete Fundamentals join Builder within six months. We'll credit your Fundamentals fee toward the upgrade. Just keep in mind cohorts fill up, so timing matters.

Do you offer payment plans?

We offer two-payment and three-payment plans for Builder and Mentor tracks. First payment is due at registration, remaining payments split over the first half of the program. No interest or fees.

What if I need to drop out partway through?

Life happens. If you need to leave before completing 50% of the program, we'll refund the remaining portion minus a $150 administrative fee. After 50%, no refunds, but you can rejoin a future cohort.

Is this program suitable for someone with existing investments?

Depends on your experience level. Fundamentals assumes you're starting from scratch. Builder works well if you have some investments but want to understand strategy better. Mentor is ideal for people with active portfolios who want ongoing guidance.

Do you provide tax advice or help with specific stock picks?

No. We teach investment principles and portfolio strategy, but we're educators, not financial advisors. We'll help you understand how to evaluate investments and build a diversified approach. For tax questions, you'll need an accountant.

What's the time commitment outside of class sessions?

Plan for about 2-3 hours per week of reading and practice for Fundamentals. Builder requires 3-5 hours weekly. Mentor varies based on your goals, but most people spend 4-6 hours weekly on portfolio work and learning.

How do I know which track is right for me?

Start with a simple question: how much time can you realistically dedicate over the next year? If you want quick foundations, choose Fundamentals. If you're ready to build actively, go with Builder. If you want a long-term learning partnership, Mentor makes sense. Still unsure? Contact us and we'll talk through your situation.
