Built for People Who Want to Start
Most people don't lack the desire to invest. They just don't know where to begin. And honestly, that's where things usually fall apart.
We started Drywo Fwibu in 2022 because we kept meeting the same folks. Smart people with steady incomes who felt completely lost when it came to making their money work for them. The investing world seemed designed to confuse rather than welcome.
So we built something different. A place where you can ask questions without feeling judged, learn at your own speed, and actually understand what you're doing before you do it.
What Guides Everything We Do
Clear Teaching
We skip the jargon and explain things like we're talking to a friend. Because that's what actual learning looks like.
Realistic Expectations
Investing isn't magic. It takes time, patience, and understanding. We're honest about that from day one.
Your Pace Matters
Some people need three months to feel ready. Others take a year. Both are fine. We adapt to where you are.
How We Got Here
Our founder, Gillian Tremblay, spent fifteen years watching people make the same mistakes with their savings. Not because they were careless, but because no one explained the basics properly.
After countless coffee shop conversations where friends asked "where should I even start?", she realized the problem wasn't access to information. It was access to the right information at the right time, presented in a way that made sense.
- Started with weekend workshops in Vancouver community centers
- Built curriculum based on actual questions people asked repeatedly
- Launched online platform in spring 2023
- Now supporting over 800 Canadians through their first investment steps
Meet Someone on Our Team
We're a small group of educators and financial professionals who believe investing education should feel welcoming, not intimidating.
Henrik Beaumont
Investment Education Specialist
Henrik joined us in early 2024 after spending years explaining investment concepts to newcomers at a credit union. He has this gift for breaking down complex ideas into something that actually clicks.
Before financial education, he taught high school math in Kelowna. That experience taught him how to read when someone's confused but too polite to say so. It's a skill that turns out to be incredibly useful in this field.
Henrik handles most of our curriculum development and leads our monthly group sessions. He's also the person who insists we test every lesson with real beginners before we finalize anything.
Ready to Take Your First Step?
Our next beginner cohort starts in September 2025. We keep groups small so everyone gets the attention they need. If you've been putting this off, maybe now's the time to just start.
